“De la Cruz a la luz”

¡PAZ Y BENDICIONES!

Queridos hermanos/as misioneros, reciban un gran saludo de Pascua de Resurrección: ¡ALELUYA, ALELUYA! Deseo que ustedes y sus familias estén bien, y en sus comunidades, perseverando en el caminar de la fe.  La Pascua es el tiempo de la Iglesia. “Ahora les toca a ustedes”, parece decirnos el Señor Resucitado cuando nos muestra sus llagas. Ahora nos toca a nosotros y tenemos cincuenta días consecutivos y todos los domingos del año -la vida entera, en definitiva- para reconocer y ser testigos del Resucitado, la mejor noticia y realidad de toda la historia de la humanidad. Quisiera esta vez, compartir con ustedes algunas actitudes cristianas de la Pascua; son un buen motivo para retomar con más amor y entrega nuestra vida como misioneros.

Una actitud de novedad. Esta actitud consiste en saber ver y juzgar con ojos y corazón nuevos. Ya les pasó a los apóstoles. Ya les pasó a Pedro y a Juan. Dudaron del anuncio de las mujeres y necesitaron ir al sepulcro, hallarlo vacío, contemplar las vendas y el sudario. Y ver con el corazón. “…y entonces vio y creyó…”

Una actitud de búsqueda y de escucha de la Palabra de Dios. La escuela de la Pascua tiene, por tanto, como primera lección la escucha atenta, constante y orante de la Palabra de Dios. Hemos de regresar una y otra vez a la Biblia. Es la fuente, el sustrato y el nutrimento capital de nuestra fe y de nuestra vida.

Una actitud de renovada y profunda espiritualidad y vida interior. Un cristianismo renovado, vigoroso, robustecido, confesante y apostólico es que, nutrido de la Palabra de Dios, se abre y se renueva continuamente en la oración y los sacramentos. A esta hora nuestra de secularismos y laicismos la única respuesta válida es la que brote de una vida interior, de la plegaria, de la espiritualidad recia y encarnada.

Una actitud propia de la condición del discípulo. Para ser testigos antes hay que ser discípulos. El discípulo es el que está a la escucha y en la compañía del Maestro. Es aquel que experimenta y conoce su sabiduría, su grandeza y su amor. Solo así el discípulo hallará al Cristo total – no a un Cristo a mi gusto o medida- y solo así el discípulo se convertirá en apóstol.

Una actitud misionera de apóstol. Todo lo anterior nos convertirá así en apóstoles y testigos. Pero nadie da lo que no tiene. De ahí la importancia de ser antes discípulos. Solo transformados nosotros mismos podremos ser levadura nueva de transformación para nuestra humanidad. Cristo Resucitado nos llama a ser sus testigos.

Que la alegría del tiempo pascual nos ayude a afianzar más plenamente nuestro seguimiento a Cristo, siendo fieles y buenos hermanos de comunidad. La virgen María interceda por sus necesidades.

• Todos los coordinadores y subcoordinadores de comunidades, deben asistir a un taller de formación el sábado 6 de Mayo 2023, de 9:00 a 2:00 pm. Son bienvenidos quienes desean abrir una comunidad.

PEACE AND BLESSINGS!

Dear missionary brothers and sisters, receive a great Easter greeting: HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH! I wish that you and your families are well, and in your communities, persevering in the walk of faith. Easter is the time of the Church. "Now it's your turn", the Risen Lord seems to tell us when he shows us his wounds. Now it is up to us and we have fifty consecutive days and every Sunday of the year -all our lives, in short- to recognize and witness the Risen One, the best news and reality in the entire history of humanity. This time I would like to share with you some Christian attitudes of Easter; They are a good reason to return with more love and commitment to our lives as missionaries.

A novelty attitude. This attitude consists of knowing how to see and judge with new eyes and a new heart. It already happened to the apostles. It already happened to Pedro and Juan. They doubted the women's announcement and needed to go to the tomb, find it empty, look at the bandages and the shroud. And see with the heart. “…and then he saw and believed…”

An attitude of searching and listening to the Word of God. The Easter school has, therefore, as its first lesson attentive, constant and prayerful listening to the Word of God. We have to return again and again to the Bible. It is the source, the substrate and the capital nourishment of our faith and our life.

An attitude of renewed and deep spirituality and inner life. A renewed, vigorous, strengthened, confessing and apostolic Christianity is that, nourished by the Word of God, it opens and is continually renewed in prayer and the sacraments. At this time of secularism and secularism, the only valid response is the one that springs from an interior life, from prayer, from a strong and incarnated spirituality.

An attitude proper to the condition of the disciple. To be witnesses, one must first be disciples. The disciple is the one who is listening and in the company of the Master. He is the one who experiences and knows his wisdom, his greatness and his love. Only in this way will the disciple find the total Christ - not a Christ to my liking or measure - and only in this way will the disciple become an apostle.

A missionary attitude of an apostle. All of the above will thus make us apostles and witnesses. But no one gives what they don't have. Hence the importance of first being disciples. Only transformed ourselves can we be new yeast of transformation for our humanity. The Risen Christ calls us to be his witnesses.

May the joy of Easter season help us to more fully strengthen our following of Christ, being faithful and good brothers in the community. The Virgin Mary intercede for your needs.

• Some communities have begun to support with food sales, in raising funds for our Missionary Program. •  I invite you to keep in mind in your personal and community prayer, for the next Encounters to be held in the month of May: From 11 to 14 Men's Meeting. From 18 to 21 Women's Meeting. -
