¡Que la Gracia y la Paz del Espíritu Santo nos Acompañen Siempre!
“Aquel día, al atardecer, dijo Jesús a sus discípulos: «Vamos a la otra orilla».
Dejando a la gente, se lo llevaron en barca, como estaba; otras barcas lo acompañaban. Se levantó una fuerte tempestad y las olas rompían contra la barca hasta casi llenarla de agua. Él estaba en la popa, dormido sobre un cabezal. Lo despertaron, diciéndole:
«Maestro, ¿no te importa que perezcamos?». Se puso en pie, increpó al viento y dijo al mar: «¡Silencio, enmudece!».
El viento cesó y vino una gran calma. Él les dijo: «¿Por qué tenéis miedo? ¿Aún no tenéis fe?». Se llenaron de miedo y se decían unos a otros: «¿Pero quién es este? ¡Hasta el viento y el mar lo obedecen!»” (Marcos 4,35-41).
En estos momentos de gran tempestad y agitación el mundo, pareciera que Dios está dormido, que no escucha y que se ha olvidado de nosotros. Ante los acontecimientos de las últimas semanas, muchos de los que viven es este país empezaron a sentirme con miedo y no pocos, probablemente, se han llenado de pánico. No obstante, ante esta situación, el evangelio de San Marcos con el que inicia esta carta y que fue el que se escuchó en el atrio de la Basílica de San Pedro el viernes, 27 de marzo de 2020, al inicio del COVID y que este año leemos en la liturgia en la misa de hoy, 01 de marzo de 2025, nos lleva a reflexionar lo siguiente:
Parece que los problema del mundo: las guerras, los problemas migratorios, la deportaciones, el miedo ante ellas, los conflictos en todos los sentidos, han hecho caer al mundo en una atardecer, donde la luz de la esperanza se va apagando. Pero ante esto Cristo Resucitado, Jesús Amigo, se hace presente, nos acompaña, navega con nosotros en esta barca. Si bien, en muchos momentos la tempestad de los problemas nos golpea, nos hiere, nos hace entrar en pánico, también es cierto que la tempestad desenmascara las verdaderas intenciones del corazón.
Los discípulos se sentían perdidos en la tempestad, pues ella había despertado las olas y la barca casi se hundía por la fuerza del viento y el agua. La tempestad hace que se caiga el maquillaje que muchas veces usamos para pintar nuestra vida de cosas banales. A nadie nos gusta estar en la tempestad porque nos muestra que somos vulnerables y salen nuestros miedos. Pero en medio de la tempestad Jesús está con nosotros, acompañándonos de forma paciente.
El misionero ha de dejarse acompañar por Jesús en esos momentos de dificultad. Pues Jesús es capaz de vencer la tempestad y calmar la aguas broncas de las diversas situaciones que vivimos día a día. Ante la desesperanza de la situación migratoria que estamos viviendo a nivel mundial, no dejemos que el terror se apodere de nosotros, antes bien confiemos en Jesús Amigo que navega con nosotros y nos anima a seguir adelante, y al mismo tiempo animemos y apoyemos a aquellos que esta situación les tiene desesperados o nerviosos, seamos una mano que se exiende en ayuda al hermano necesitado.

Guía Espiritual del PMV
Recordemos las actividades que tenemos para este mes de Febrero de 2025:
- Del 30 de enero al 2 de febrero tendremos el encuentro #220 de mujeres. Les pedimos que tengan en sus oraciones a las servidoras y candidatas de este encuentro y que nos acompañen el días jueves de inicio del encuentro a recibir a las candidatas y el domingos a las mañanitas y después de las mañanitas a cooperar comprando el desayuno con las comunidades que lo estarán ofreciendo.
- El 12: Rosario en el PMV.
- Nuestros hermanos del Programa Misionero de San Diego tendrán su encuentro en las instalaciones del PMV los días:
- 6 al 9, encuentr de hombres.
- 13 al 16, encuentr de mujeres.
- Ha comenzado la preparación del encuentro #221, mantengamos en oración a los hermanos y hermanas que se estén preparando para servir en este encuentro. El cual se llevará a cabo en las fechas: 13 al 16 de marzo para hombres y del 20 al 23 de marzo para mujeres.
- También, ha comenzado la preparación para el encuentro de jóvenes el cual ser llevará acabo del 7 al 9 de marzo.

May the Grace and Peace of the Holy Spirit Always Accompany Us!
“That day when evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Let us go over to the other side.’” Leaving the crowd behind, they took him in the boat as he was; other boats accompanied him. A great storm arose, and the waves broke against the boat until it was almost full of water. He was in the stern, asleep on a headrest. They woke him up, saying: 'Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?' He got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, 'Silence! Be still!' The wind ceased, and a great calm came. Then he said to them, 'Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?' They were filled with fear and said to one another, 'Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?'" (Mark 4:35-41).
In these moments of great storm and turmoil in the world, it may seem as though God is asleep, not listening, and has forgotten us. In light of recent events, many living in this country have begun to feel afraid, and not a few have likely been filled with panic. However, in this situation, the Gospel of Mark, which opens this letter and was proclaimed in the atrium of St. Peter’s Basilica on Friday, March 27, 2020, at the beginning of the COVID crisis and which we read again in today's liturgy, March 1, 2025 leads us to reflect on the following:
It seems that the world's problems—wars, migration issues, deportations, the fear surrounding them, and conflicts of all kinds—have plunged the world into a twilight where the light of hope is fading. Yet, in the face of this, the Risen Christ, Jesus our Friend, is present. He accompanies us, sailing with us in this boat. Though the storm of problems often strikes us, wounds us, and throws us into panic, it is also true that the storm reveals the true intentions of our hearts.
The disciples felt lost in the storm because the waves had risen, and the boat was nearly sinking under the force of the wind and water. The storm strips away the false appearances that we sometimes use to paint our lives with superficial things. No one likes to be in a storm because it exposes our vulnerability and brings our fears to the surface. But in the midst of the storm, Jesus is with us, patiently accompanying us.
The missionary must allow himself to be accompanied by Jesus in these moments of difficulty. For Jesus is capable of overcoming the storm and calming the turbulent waters of the various situations we experience daily. In the face of the despair caused by the global migration crisis, let us not allow fear to take hold of us. Instead, let us trust in Jesus, our Friend, who sails with us and encourages us to move forward. At the same time, let us support and encourage those who are desperate or anxious about this situation. Let us extend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in need.
